If this ministry can help a woman live a fuller life, it will have been worthwhile.
Angelica Espitia. Happily married, mother of two precious sons that God gave me and who give me a reason to live. I live in the city of Bogotá-Colombia. Twenty-four years ago, I gave my life to Jesus Christ. About 7 years ago, the Lord confirmed a calling for me to affirm women, and although I was not sure how or when, I was certain that He would let me know in His time. I have provided counseling for women and was an active part of a ministry for women in the congregation, as a moderator and speaker. In 2018, the Lord called my husband a me, as a couple, to start a restoration ministry in Bogotá. Currently, my husband and I run the ministry and school where we see and experience God’s love, His power and support. At the same time, I am part of the team of writers of “A Woman’s Beauty Devotionals”, where I share what God reveals to me thru His word to encourage women to have an encounter with God, and I collaborate as an audiovisual producer, in order to make the devotionals more eye-catching for our readers.
Serving the Lord in all areas of my life, I am an entrepreneur of a brand of garments and accessories with life messages, whose designs are my own and we sell nationally in Colombia. ( www.tiendaestandarte.com )
Ines Campos de los Reyes, born in Barranquilla, Colombia. Mother of two wonderful daughters and one son! Grandmother of 3 grandchildren and 3 granddaughters, all of them precious to me, raised in the word of the Lord.
My greatest study has been thru the "University of Life", with ups and downs, full of experiences that have brought me closer and closer to my Heavenly Father, by whom I feel loved, renewed, supported and strengthened. I am willing to be used by the Holy Spirit of God to share His Word. I have taken courses to participate as a servant of God at the church Filadelfia Puente Largo in Bogotá, Colombia, in which I have served for 9 years as an usher, serving the holy supper, assisting in prayer needs, and any other areas in which help is needed. It is a service that I love to do because it is what the Lord put in my heart. Additionally, every morning in my “time of communion with God", I do intercessory prayers for those who are sick, for those who are going through difficult times, and any other prayer requests that need to be confided in the Lord.
I am the Director of Editing and Proofreading of A Woman's Beauty Devotionals, where every week I check the spelling and grammar of the devotionals that will be published on our page and on social media. In addition, I write devotionals with a message that God gives me for women, rediscovering the purpose in all my life experiences.
Jessica Cunningham, born in Bogotá, Colombia. I have lived in the United States since I was 14 years old, in the state of Colorado. I am the wife of a wonderful man, the mother of two beautiful daughters, a professional in the area of science and pharmacy, and a servant of God.
Ten years ago, I gave my life to the Lord, and although I had a rocky start with Him, He has never let me go, and I continue to fall in love with His greatness. A few years ago, I participated playing the piano in the worship band of a small Hispanic church where I congregated, while I prayed that my husband would give his life to the Lord. When my husband agreed to get to know more of God, we started attending Crossroads Church in Loveland, Colorado. There I began my work in the area of Children's Ministry, helping children anywhere from newborn to 4 years of age, and also in the Special Friends Ministry for kids with disabilities and special care needs.
I am currently a college student pursuing my second Bachelor’s degree in nursing and lactation, since my passion to serve others, especially women who are going through the transition of motherhood, has led me to this new challenge in my life.
A Woman’s Beauty Devotionals ministry has allowed me the opportunity to serve the Lord as translator of our devotionals from Spanish to English, as well as occasionally writing devotional content, where I share a word of encouragement for the young woman who is laying the foundations for her future. I also collaborate in the production of media, where I have the opportunity to develop the talent that God has given me for His service.
Doris Eugenia Bonilla Campos. Lawyer and Public Notary by profession of the Republic of El Salvador. Theology student, Director of Intercession, and Small-group Leader of my church, where I coordinate the direction of Bible studies. With twenty-three years working at the service of our Lord Jesus Christ, serving in ministries as Director of Fasting and Prayer, where many women meet once a week to intercede for the nation and feed our soul, for the strengthening of the body of Christ.
Mother of three wonderful daughters who serve God, and grandmother of a precious granddaughter. Sister of two ladies and a man who love God, who use their talents to service others, and who have given me support during different situations that life has presented to me.
Writer and Audiovisual Producer of A Woman's Beauty Devotionals. I write messages to women who may be going through difficult or confusing situations in their lives, and based on the Holy Scriptures, I present to them a word of affirmation and hope, taken from my own life experiences, where God has always taken the leading role. I collaborate in the production of illustrations that accompany the devotionals in order to attract the attention of our audience and receive what God has prepared for them.
I am happy to read the comments of our readers, confirming that fertile soil is being sown, and lives are being blessed with what God gives us to share.
Rosario Anaya de Barillas, born in the city of Quezaltepeque, El Salvador. I am the third of four siblings. Family is very important to me, because my parents have been my example of love, dedication, tenacity, companionship, unity and solidarity. Married for more than 32 years with my lifelong partner, to whom I owe the blessing of having led me to meet and have that encounter with our Lord Jesus Christ in 1989. God has blessed me with two wonderful children, Jessica and Ever. They are a precious gift from God to my life.
I have a law degree and I have specialized in the rights of vulnerable groups such as women, children, adolescents and the family. This work has led me to become aware of the need that especially women and children have when their rights are violated.
For more than 15 years, I was part of the leadership of the women's ministry "Wise Woman", an interdenominational ministry whose vision is to support and help needy, violated, abused women, working on their self-esteem, affirming them in the Word of God, and the call and assignment that God has for each woman, imparting teachings through conferences and weekly meetings. Since 2009 I have been part of the Ministerial and Pastoral team of the church "Wise Woman and Man of Power", in which my beloved God has allowed me to serve Him both in ministerial and professional areas.
I am part of the writing team for the A Woman's Beauty Devotionals ministry, where I share a word of affirmation for women who need to be restored in all areas of their lives. My greatest desire is to walk always holding the hand of my Lord and to let myself be led by Him wherever He wants to take me.
Astrid Oviedo. CNA Medical Assistant, and student of Medicine. I have been called to serve God since I was little. My mom is a pastor and my sister and I practically grew up in church. Watching my mom preach, I once told her that I wanted to be like her. She asked me if I was sure of what I was saying. I was only five years old, but I assured her that it was what I wanted. My mom consecrated me for the service of God that night. I have always believed that my life has a purpose of service, which is why I have a passion for medicine, as I want to help people restore their health.
I am part of the Belleza de Mujer Devotionals team and A Woman’s Beauty Devotionals as writer and audiovisual assistant, putting my talents at the service of God and supporting the constant demands for resources to publish in the media.
Ambar Oviedo. I have a Degree in Political Science. Working in my profession. I served as a Sunday School teacher in my teens. I was baptized in a river with other members of the congregation, and I prepared to serve. My mother pastored in a local church and my sister and I accompanied her and served in whatever was needed. I would often sit in the front row to listen to my mother preach family services and at home I would remind her of what she had said in her preaching.
I am the model in the books Belleza de Mujer and A Woman’s Beauty. I appear in most photos, from baby to adult. I also assist with the translations of devotionals.
My wish is that women be affirmed in what God has said about them.
Paola Gómez Campos was born in Bogotá, Colombia. She is the eldest of three siblings, the daughter of an admirable woman who modeled her dependence on God. A wife and mother of two beautiful children, she is also a Lawyer specializing in commercial and company law. In her professional career she has held senior positions in the Colombian public sector. She has always enjoyed the roles that God has assigned to her. In her leadership position, she protects those under her leadership, which she considers "her people", she loves to lead by example, help those who may need it, and serve. She combines perfectly her professional life with her domestic work as a mother, which is at the top of her priority scale.
Since she was a little girl, she had an immense desire to travel to Israel, to see Jesus’ home, and the places where He did His ministry. God allowed her to live in Israel for a couple of months when she was a teenager. During her stay, she learned the basics of Jewish history and culture; and beyond visiting the historical sites, she knows that God allowed her to live this experience for her spiritual growth and to understand that she needed to face any situation in her life.
God has given her the opportunity to serve Him through the women's ministry of her Church, and to be able to transmit the comfort that she herself has received from God, to other women who may be in need. She considers that her first ministry is her family, which she cares for like a treasure, affirming that they are her greatest treasure and understands that by teaching her children the way of God from a young age; they will never depart from Him. Trusting in the promise of Proverbs 22: 6 " Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it." (NIV), believing that God is faithful to fulfill everything He has said in the bible.
Paola has joined the A Woman's Beauty team as a devotional writer, responding to her call to empower modern women today by sharing what she has received from God. Her aspiration is to see happier women, affirmed in the word of God, and meeting their life purpose.
Loly de Díaz, born in Rivas, Nicaragua, where she studied dentistry. She is the daughter of a strong and wise woman. She has a sister with whom they support each other. She married a Salvadoran Christian man who constantly encourages her to serve God with all her strength and with a grateful heart. Loly moved to El Salvador with her husband, with whom they celebrate forty years of marriage this year. Mother of four grown children, three men and one woman, they all are professionals and she instilled them with love and they all serve to the Lord in their church. She is the proud grandmother of a three-year-old grandson which she dances with praising God.
She has a degree in Theology and diploma in pastorate from the El Paraíso Biblical Institute. She is a faithful servant in various ministries such as intercession, ushers, fasting, communion, and cell leader. She imparts teachings of the Holy Scriptures in the different ministries to which she belongs and gives encouragement, and strengthens the leadership of the church through the word of God.
She feels God speaks to her through Joshua 1: 9 “have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Her desire is that people have hope and find refuge, encouragement in every storm they face, with the assurance that the God of the impossible is with us every day of our lives.
Claudia Yanira Peñate Velásquez, was born in Quezaltepeque, El Salvador. She is the mother of two God-fearing men, good workers, who contribute to society. She has a degree in Social Communication from the José Simeón Cañas Central American University, where she also works in the administrative area. She has participated in office automation workshops and taken different writing courses, among others.
Claudia also has a Diploma of "Pastoral Action Against Feminicidal Violence and Pregnancy of Girls and Adolescents" from the Evangelical University of El Salvador. The objective of these studies is to help participants become agents of change and social and ecclesial transformation, to help educate females in the theory and risk of certain behaviors.
She remembers as a special event, that day when she was spiritually born into the family of God. It was in May of 1995 at a women's activity where she received Jesus as her personal savior. Her spiritual growth occurred in a providential way as in her workplace there was a discipleship at lunchtime where she meets with a group of women who receive teaching from a pastor. This pastor directed her to gather with a family who had discipleship on Saturdays, and as happens in those divine appointments, this family turned out to be her neighbors.
This discipleship grew to such an extent that they needed to rent a house to meet and the church was born there. The congregation organized to hold services on Tuesdays and Sundays, and Claudia served in the diaconate, nursery, and Bible school. She also led youth and women's events, discovering her call to women's ministry.
In this process, she felt the need to learn more about the word of God and she decided that she should do it systematically, enrolling in the Semper Reformed Higher School of Biblical and Theological Studies, where she is currently pursuing a degree.
In 2019 she moved to another city, and as a consequence she changed churches. She joined the Jerusalem Christian Church where she serves in the Renewed Women's ministry, alongside a group of ladies who work supporting women. In the months of the pandemic, the church did not stop their activities and taught the modules of "The Trellis and the Vine", "Culture and Evangelism", "10 Steps from Believer to Disciple" and "Verb Plus", with the purpose of promoting spiritual growth in the people who served.
Claudia believes God has been faithful and she does not want to stop depending on Him. She is praying for a husband according to the heart of God. John 11:40 Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”
Ana Ruth Espitia Pinzón is a professional Optometrist, Master in Integrated Management Systems, and Real Estate Broker who has led a religious life, with a constant search for God. At the age of 27, she received Jesus as her personal savior and got to see the love of God transform her life. She began a deep relationship with God, and has never separated from Him again. She lives completely dependent on God the Father, has a passion for Jesus, and the companionship of the Holy Spirit.
Ana Ruth was married in the Christian church 23 years ago to a wonderful God-given man with whom she had three beautiful children, Danny, 21, Yack, 17, and Sarita, her 13-year-old princess. Desiring to serve God, she joined the Usher ministry of her church, where she discovered her passion for service. In that ministry she grew spiritually and learned the wonderful gift of “girding herself with a towel” just as the Lord Jesus Christ did in His earthly ministry. It was then that she discovered that she had a calling from God (Jeremiah 1:5), and desiring to obey her call, she chose to dedicate her time entirely working in ministerial work.
Ana Ruth immersed herself in the study of the sacred scriptures graduating from the Faculty of Theology, she has carried out several biblical studies that have enriched her life and have enabled her to share her knowledge of the word of God with others. With the joy of serving in ministry, she worked full time for 18 years in a Christian school, where she served as a teacher of Biblical Foundations. Later she fulfilled the role of Spiritual Coordinator for family counseling (couples, women, adolescents, children), inner healing, working with children and youth, guiding them to lead a life in freedom in Christ and preparing them in evangelization. Likewise, she coordinated the ACSI international accreditation for teachers of the Christian school.
Together with her husband, she served in the international Gideons ministry, taking the word of God, evangelizing in hotels, hospitals and health centers. She has experienced God's protection in times of difficulty, such as the financial bankruptcy of her maternal family and the death of her brother. In all circumstances, the goodness of her heavenly Father has been manifested through His will, His healing power, not only physically but also in the heart of all those who are willing to serve for Him.
Guided by the movement of The Lord and The Holy Spirit, she withdrew from the church of which she was a member for many years and was led to the church Filadelfia Puente Largo in Colombia, a church focused on passion for the Lord, love and service. After a restorative process, she has been serving in the Women’s Ministry of her church, more specifically as a leader in growth and development classes. She is also a mentor to guide women to find their life purpose and develop the identity for which God designed us. She also leads a women's growth group with a focus on sharing and growing in the word of God, studying the lives of women who marked the biblical story and the practical application for the role of women in every area of their lives.
Currently, she owns a real estate company, where it has been imperative to make God known with her testimony, serve and intercede for the people God places in her path, and always carry a word of dependence on Him, in all situations and circumstances.
She received confirmation of her calling with John 15:16 "You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you." (NIV)
Anabelle Ibarra was born in Bogotá, Colombia. Married to Frank Arevalo for 18 years, she is the mother of two teenage daughters Manuela and Valentina. Coach, financial consultant, entrepreneur, and author of the book "Forgiveness: Your Best Gift".
Throughout her life, she has witnessed the transformation that God has brought in her. Eleven years ago God rescued her from a deep abyss that she found herself in. Material possessions, high professional competitiveness, and lack of order in her priorities in life consumed her, and were affecting her family life. It was in the midst of that whirlwind of hers that Jesus brought her to His feet to make her understand that everything could be different, that He would put her life in order.
Anabelle expresses that despite her mistakes and imperfections, she is an instrument in God’s hands, so that His work in her inspires others, that in the same way that God acted in her, He can do it with other people.
Anabelle loves to write and is passionate about helping women who like her, may find themselves in the same abyss, seeing darkness all around and not knowing how to get out. She shares her experiences in her writings so that these women find that way out; for without a doubt, God has already prepared them and has great plans for them.
Far from religion, but convinced of the relationship with God, Anabelle loves God, her Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit who lives in her. She considers Him to be her safe place where she can take refuge, and she dreams of many women finding Him for the transformation of their lives and families.
Her favorite verse is Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand”.
Alexandra de Beltran is the pastor of the Philadelphia Christian Church of Puente Largo Ministry in Bogotá, Colombia, where she is from. When she was 9 years old, her parents were called to found the Church she currently serves as lead pastor with her beloved husband, Luis Hernando Beltran. They have been married for 26 years and were granted the blessing of having four beautiful children by God’s grace. She has a degree in Preschool Education and is a graduate of the Philadelphia Bible Institute of Colombia.
Alexandra made the decision to follow Christ and to dedicate her life to His service since she was a teenager. After being married for three years, she experienced the divorce of her parents. This event, along with the fact that she grew up in a very authoritarian environment, marked her life as a daughter, woman, wife and mother, creating in her a desire to be loved, healed, and affirmed by her heavenly Father, and to be lifted up in God's identity and purpose for her life. For this reason, now that she’s working in a ministry, she considers it a privilege to be able to minister the lives of young people, women, and families that despite living within a Christian environment, need to be taught and restored.
She has had the opportunity to serve as a director of the “Ser Mujer” Ministry of Peru in Colombia. She has trained different congregations with the tools designed by them. Her desire is for women to assert and rise up in their identity and purpose. She has also had the privilege of seeing women transform their lives, families, and environments when they understand their truth in God.
She has participated with her husband in international family support networks, such as "Save the Family", and in interdenominational congresses. Her ministry currently covers five congregations and 22 missionaries.
As a woman, she has been inspired by other women who love the Lord and live to serve Him with their gifts and talents. She is convinced that we must share the hope we have in Jesus, in a world that walks outside his design.
Her favorite verse is, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will” Romans 12:2 (NIV).
Pilar Amézquita, I was born in Fontana, California-USA and currently live on the outskirts of Bogotá-Colombia, in a beautiful rural area, with my family. My husband and I have been together for 22 years, and by God's grace we have a strong marriage and have been able to build a beautiful home for our two daughters.
I came to the feet of Christ more than 20 years ago, during a prayer meeting, and fell completely in love with the Lord. I belong to the Philadelphia Church of Puentelargo, where I have grown in my faith thanks to the teachings, the daily devotional “Time with God”, the courses in different areas, and the women's growth group.
Biologist by profession, I worked in several Colombian ecosystems and abroad for 10 years. I was a researcher, coordinator of field projects and also professor and director of undergraduate thesis at the Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá. With the birth of our first daughter, my professional stage as a biologist ended, and I began the beautiful adventure of being a mother.
My first ministry call has been with my family. Homeschooling my girls until they were four and a half years old allowed me to guide them from an early age in the ways of the Lord and create in them a life of prayer and reading the Bible.
Along with all the beautiful moments shared with my girls, I began to wage a strong and prolonged battle with depression and anxiety. It was at this time that God began to bring to light the artist within me. As God healed my soul, art began to grow within me, and I began to approach the dream of writing and illustrating children's books that help them know Jesus Christ and grow in their faith.
I have been serving in “A Woman's Beauty Ministry” for several months in the area of illustrations and videos that accompany and present the devotionals. I really enjoy this work because I have a great appreciation for photography. Images can also minister to us by expressing emotions and capturing beautiful moments. Additionally, I have started writing devotionals. It is an honor to be able to serve the daughters of God and share with them what God has taught me in my walk with Him.
Currently my art is taking wings as a watercolorist, and I am working on several children's books. I am also developing a collection of birds to accompany the promises of salvation, and to be able to produce products that serve to evangelize and extend the kingdom of God.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV).
Diana Esther Ward was born in the city of Bogotá, Colombia. Daughter of parents who always instilled in her to cultivate study and good behavior based on principles and values. She is the youngest of seven siblings whom she loves deeply. She loves teaching. She is a teacher by profession, and with the blessing of having completed a master's degree in Challenges of Learning. 20 years ago, she received Jesus as her savior; however, for several years she was lukewarm, without really feeling the presence of the Holy Spirit. But a second touch from the Lord came to rekindle the dreams and the call for her life.
Diana had the opportunity to work with preschool ages for several years; but some time later, God led her to work with teenagers. No doubt it was a 180° change, but only there did she understand that her mission was to win teenagers to Christ, and to show them their identity and the value they have in Jesus. On the last day as a teacher in Colombia, the Lord gave her the opportunity to share with the students, expressing to them that she could not leave without first introducing them to Jesus. She trusts and believes that the word that was watered that day will have a future fruit.
She currently lives in the United States, happily married to the man who managed to captivate her heart. Together they participate in Deliverance Ministries in Oklahoma, a ministry that has no alliance with any particular church, but is independent. She also participates in discipleship for couples at Crossroads Church, to which she is a member. In Colombia she is part of the growth group of the Philadelphia Puente Largo Church and of a discipleship called "Families for the Kingdom" born from the heart of a good friend and pastor, Alfonso Restrepo.
The Lord has given her the precious talent of writing, transforming what was once poetry into words containing His truth, longing for them to reach those who need to be revived and renewed in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Isaiah 49:6b “I will also make you a light to the nations so that My salvation may reach to the ends of the earth” (NIV).
